It didn't instantly kill the winter weeds in my lawn (applied in March) but did well to knock out the "nutgrass" or "nutsedge" that was beginning to look overgrown. It took about 6 days to kill it. The poa annua didn't die off as well, but did turn yellow, and I think will die off or at least thin out after one application. I'll probably reapply after two weeks.
