Honda EU3000IS Wireless Remote Start System With 1 Remote Transmitter Review

In general this kit works, and I recommend it as one of the few options for a remote start on the Honda EU3000IS generator.
Be prepared for a few issues that are not addressed by the instructions.
My kit did not come with some parts that the instructions implied would be there. It did not come with a small screw driver. (I had one that would work, so no big deal.) It also did not come with a ring terminal for the wire that attaches to the negative post on the battery. (Again, I supplied my own.)
The antenna is supposed to be attached with a small cable clamp that is too big for the antenna wire in its small diameter tube. (I bent a part of the end of the antenna tube back on itself, hooked around the cable clamp, and ziptied it in place to hold it there.)
The supplied servo was too big to fit in the space where it was supposed to be mounted by about 1/16 - 1/8 inch. Be prepared to remove a small portion of the Honda's plastic airbox that the servo needs to be mounted to in order to make it fit. (I used a Dremel tool to shave some of the plastic off.) And be very careful about cutting the template to use when determing where to drill holes, making sure to cut off any part of the lines showing where to cut. Otherwise the mounting holes will be too far out. (Helps to measure the fit ahead of time with a rule that goes down to 1/32 of an inch.)
However, once installed, with some attention to details like the above, it works well.
Note that the key has to be in the generator turned to the On position for the remote to work. It is nice that although the remote will operate the choke when used, you can also still operate the choke, and start it without the remote if desired.
