this cord is heavy duty, actually, it's like heavy, heavy, duty. I power my battery backup system for my house from a 12KW generator with it. Needed 40amps, and this thing handles it like a champ. I wish I'd ordered a 50ft, to allow hooking up right outside the garage, but this way I'm not tempted to be unsafe with the generator, and it's at least 15 feet from windows/doors etc. Nice cord if you're pulling lots of amps. If your not, this thing would be overkill.
