My Generac genset quit running last camping trip in deep East Texas. I checked the unit for oil and oil pressure as well as spark. There was oil and oil pressure (30 psi) but no spark at the plug. I have had low oil pressure switch failure before on my other Generac gensets so I had a suspission this was another failure. Since I had good oil pressure I took the 2 leads off the pressure switch and screwed them together with small screw and nut. Then I wrapped the wires with electrical tape to keep them from grounding out on the frame and killing the ignition. The 4000xl fired up and ran perfectly for the rest of the trip. I located the switch on Amazon, recieved, installed, and fired up the generator-perfection.
