The packaging was good, and the unit arrived without damage. I hooked it up to an oscilliscope to verify the waveform, and then tested it with various loads (resistive & inductive) and appliances up to 4200watts (briefly). The unit held a good sine wave throughout all the testing, although the voltage dropped a little (from 120.4V to 112.0V) at the high output, which is normal. There is a slight distortion in the wave as it passes through the 0-volt point, but well within the <3% distortion specified.

One small issue: As it comes from the factory, it's set for an output of 110 volts AC, which is OK for most applications, but I wanted a full 120V output. The manual says it can be changed, but only by a "certified installer". I have a lot of experiance with electronics, so I went ahead & did it. If you want to do this yourself, MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS OFF AND DISCONNECTED FROM THE BATTERIES before you start. You will need to remove the whole front face plate (6 screws) to access the 2 DIP switches that set the output voltage. You can find the settings on the last page of the manual. Once I changed it, and reassembled & reconnected the unit, the output was a good 120.4 VAC. If you're not comfortable doing this safely, have a "certified installer" do it.
