Heaviry material than the Weed-X sold at Walmart. I ordered this because I wanted a 6-foot width intead of the 3-foot that is the sole item available at Walmart; the heavier material was a nice bonus. I use this as top mulch on my vegetable garden (put it on the garden, bury the ends in dirt, then cut holes to put in vegetable transplants (tomatoes, peppers, etc); the 6- width is easier to manage and less susceptable to getting blown off by the wind. The "plus" of the heaveir material is that it doesn't degrade as quickly (thus, the following spring whem I go out to pull out last years fabric, it holds up when I attempt to pull the edges out of the ground vs. tearing off as it would so often do with the ligher Walmart-purchased material.
