Arrived in the retail packaging. This is a 1 piece unit, no accessories and a 12 page half sheet sized booklet of instructions. No loose parts to worry about, the plug is permanently attached and plugs directly into cig adapter. I like the compact size and feel of this unit. The cord is about the right length for me, there is 27" of wire between the plug and the unit. It reaches the passenger seat just fine from the console (though I mainly leave it in the back). Mine works and produces modified AC power which runs my gadgets nicely.

This is my 4th inverter purchased due to looking for a model that does NOT have a fan, and has a low idle drain so it'll not consume my portable battery as part of an off the grid camping kit. I happy to report that I won't need to buy any more units as this model does exactly what I was looking for. It provides the AC I needed with a low overhead. I measured the idle current of the unit when on and it averages about w2.1 watts, compared to 3.2+ watts on the Bestek 300w model I was looking at BESTEK 300w charger dc ac power inverter car dc 12v to 110v car adapter usb charger car samsung adapter pda car charger htc adapter car lg charger mp3 car adapter iphone charger car motolora adapter ipad car charger blackberry car adapter laptop charger.... This 175w GoPower unit has a slighty lower total output at 175 watts, with surging to 210w . By getting a lower total output, it doesn't need a fan and has the added benefit of lower idle current drain.

This is a unit I can leave in my car plugged in and on, knowing it won't drain the main battery. I can also use it in my battery powered solar camping kit knowing it won't drain my smaller camp battery too. I'm excited to have this on our next camping trip. If your primary use will be in a running car, you can buy the larger output units with fans and not have an issue, but if you are concerned with an off the grid backup situation, you want your inverter to be as efficient as possible and this model fills that need for me.

We purchased this generator to power a sump pump at a building that has no electricity. Having a generator that runs on propane allows it to run for much longer than typical gas generators. Cost of operation is about the same as gas generators as best as we can tell.

The only problem experienced to date is we have had difficulty getting it started. We changed the spark plug and that has helped somewhat, but we still have to use ether to get it started most of the time. We are waiting on Buffalo Tools to get us the local service repair shop so we can bring it in for warranty repair. Unit is just 2 weeks old.

The panels arrived safely and right on time. I was able to get them installed quickly on my RV and they are working great. These are high quality panels and have an excellent warranty. You should buy some T-branch MC4 connectors (FFM and MMF) to connect them together and an additional pair of MC4 connectors to put on the connecting end of the wires that will go to your controller.

Wow. Incredible. So simple. Durable.

Too many adjectives for such a brilliant product. I do own over 20 different solar charging products, nearly ALL of them disappointed me. Many offer battery supplemented solutions which are useful until you realize that the solar portion doesn't put out power directly to the USB ports, they come from the battery.

I've used a Goal Zero Nomad 7 kit and I must say I do like their products, I do admire them for coming up with some nice stuff BUT Suntactics has gone several steps beyond them. First the construction, the Suntactics changers (I own both the 5 and 12 models) are covered in a very durable coating similar to what the military uses on their circuit cards to weatherproof them. The cells they use are very high quality. Don't just buy into the hype about MLC stuff, not all MLC cells are made the same. The 5w version is very small, comes in a simple and neat bag. It's very lightweight, great for ultralight backpackers or military. Cost is reasonable, you pay just a little more for a lot more quality and performance.

Being military I used it in Hawaii during a range fire exercise and many people were shocked at my chargers, nearly 100 people at some point picked them up and said "Wow, this is so bad***!" I had 2 cell phones, both iPhone 4S, mine was completely drained with no power, the other had 11% power left. Mine was connected to the sCharger-5 while my buddy's phone was connected to my Nomad 7. Mine completed the charge 15 minutes earlier from a dead battery than with the Nomad 7. This proves that advertising power ratings matter less than what the actual power output of each charger really is. I'm not saying the Nomad 7 is junk or a substandard product, it's a very good product, but Suntactics simply made a BETTER product.

Our range fire day was mixed with a portion of clear sunny hours along with complete overcast with some drizzle.

I searched around for a compact form solar panel with a decent watt output for my application and this works great!
This isn't too much larger than the 5 watt harbor freight amorphous panel, but this instapark panel packs 6 times more power and at a good price. Using this with a Sunforce 7amp charge controller charges my 12v, sla, 20ah battery fast. Panel feels solid and it's weight reflects that. I would have liked to see better mounting options on the back of the panel, the aluminum frame has only two sides that are wide with a couple of predrilled holes. This of course requires user intervention to figure out how to attach mounting brackets. I recommend going with some aluminum 1" square bars from home depot to use as your crossmembers to mount to the back panel as a start. Stainless steel screws are a must for this type of project.
