Product Description
Generac's GenReady Load Center represents the future of generator installation. This hybrid panel replaces and operates as the standard circuit breaker panel and allows for the seamless installation of Generac's EZ Transfer Operator, making the home generator ready. The GenReady Load Center costs approximately $50 more than a traditional main circuit panel. It is installed with the EZ Transfer Operator. This option creates substantial savings in future generator installation costs.Generac 5449 GenReady Advanced Load Center NEMA1 Review
I purchased this panel to replace the Square D panel presently in my home. The built in manual transfer switch was the selling feature should we need to run on generator power. It's a Siemens box placarded for Generac.Only caution when going to a large box store for the circuit breakers are that Siemens sells two, both denoted at QT, but one has a CL and the other an NCL part number. The CL product numbers do not work with this panel. The NCL product numbers do, and of course are about $7 more than the others.
My electrician has been very impressed with installation and we are awaiting Mother Nature's next wrath of rain, snow or high winds!
I would certaining recomment this product to someone.
