This is my fifth power inlet box used for generator hookup. Generac purchased Gen-Tran, so you get exact same box, only with Generac name on it. These boxes are very high quality with plenty of room inside for wires.I buy boxes with weather tight spring lids. They are sold with and without one, so make sure you know what you are getting. You can also buy the lid separately, as I have once. Well worth it having the lid, so that inside of the box stay free from insects and dirt.
I prefer the outlet being on the bottom. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase.
I have bought 30amp/125v, 30amp/250 volt and 50amp/250 volt Gen-Tran/Generac boxes.
A side note is that I purchased an aftermarket 15 foot cord (Conntek) from Amazon, and it seems like the cable connector is a smidge too big, which makes inserting it into the box a chore. I suggest you stick with Generac power cords.
